STANDALONE SAMURAI ARMOUR. EDO PERIOD. HISTORICAL.

Rare full Yoroi samurai armour from Japan’s Edo period, composed of lacquered iron, silk and copper. Originally worn by the samurai class between 1600–1868, armours of this quality were designed not only for protection but also for status, ceremony and visual impact. The intricate silk lacing, hand-worked metal elements and commanding silhouette place the work somewhere between functional object, collectible design and museum-grade artefact.

As collectors continue moving toward rare cross-category pieces with strong visual presence, historical Japanese armour has increasingly entered the conversation alongside collectible design, curiosities and sculptural interiors. Complete Edo-period examples remain scarce on the market, particularly with this level of preservation and display impact.
