NO ORDINARY SELECTION.
A CURATED VIEW ON RECENT AUCTIONS.
Collectip was created from a simple observation:
the auction market is full of remarkable pieces but most of them go unnoticed.
Not because they lack value, but because they lack context.
We select, interpret, and position pieces
for a new generation of collectors: those who are curious, design-aware, and ready to engage, but not yet fully inside the system.
Auction platforms show everything. Dealers filter for themselves.
A significant part of the auction market doesn’t sell. These pieces re-enter quietly, often without structure or visibility. Collectip treats this not as leftover inventory, but as an opportunity to reframe, redistribute, and reconnect them with the right buyers.
STARTING WITH WHAT THE MARKET LEAVES BEHIND.
We focus on what sits between visibility and understanding, pieces that are well-designed, well-priced, and often missed. Not the obvious highlights, but the ones that require a trained eye.
WE CURATE WHAT THE MARKET OVERLOOKS.
COLLECTIP SITS IN BETWEEN.
THE TEAM
Founded and directed by Cecilia Maresca of Maresca Interiors, Collectip is a curatorial platform for twentieth-century design. It brings the pieces of European auctions, and those that remain unsold after them, to collectors, interior designers and anyone furnishing a home with taste.
The eye behind it was formed over more than a decade in the places where design changes hands: salesrooms, galleries and private collections across Europe and Brazil, and through work with leading galleries and auction houses.
From this comes a precise way of looking. Every lot is read for its attribution, its provenance, its condition and its price before it is shown, and placed in context, because the pieces that go unnoticed often lack explanation more than value.
Each selection is therefore approached piece by piece, from the first reading to the moment it reaches your home, whether you are building a collection, furnishing a project or choosing a single object.
