Jean Després brought the language of the machine age to traditional metalwork. Hammered surfaces, geometric forms and visible construction became his signature — turning functional objects into small pieces of sculpture.

This selection brings together a remarkable group of his silvered-metal works, from candlesticks and bowls to trays, tableware and a champagne bucket. The pair of circa-1950 candlesticks is estimated at €3K–4K, while the wider group ranges from €500 to €6K.
